We went in today for lab work and for a doctors appointment + to see a Pediatric surgeon because they will be placing a small catheter in his abdomen on 8/31/2010 so we can start doing PD (peritoneal dialysis) at home. He will be under for about an hour then will be in recovery for a day to make sure that he is doing fine. A nurse will be here at our home to see if we live in a secure/sterile place. Then we will be in training for about two weeks so we can understand how to do PD on our own. He will be on PD everyday for about 8-9 hours until we find a donor for a kidney transplant. I just hope this would be passed us already, but we have to take it one day at a time and have plenty of patience. Ray is a trooper and with Gods will he will overcome this.
